1. Who We Are

Sukoluhle Lodge ("we", "us") operates the website sukoluhle.co.za and a guest house at 9 Moth Street, Empangeni Central, 3880, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This policy explains how we handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. Information We Collect

When you make a booking we collect your name, email address, phone number, and your stay details (room, dates, duration and any special requests). If you contact us or leave a review we collect your name, email and message. If you create an account we also store a securely hashed password.

We use cookies and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Analytics data is collected with IP anonymisation enabled.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process and confirm bookings, communicate with you about your stay, respond to enquiries and reviews, send booking and check-out notifications, and improve our website and service. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Who We Share It With

We only share information with the service providers needed to run the business: our email/SMTP provider for sending confirmations, a secure messaging service used to alert the owner of new bookings and messages, and our website hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

5. Data Retention & Security

We keep booking records for as long as needed for our legitimate business and legal obligations, then delete them. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing (bcrypt) and the site is served over encrypted HTTPS.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us using the details below. You can also ask us to stop sending you non-essential communications.
